Introduction to Dive Sports. We are a full-service local scuba store that services a vibrant dive community in North Alabama. We provide the full range of services you would expect from a local store, including a complete PADI dive training program, equipment sales and service, group dive travel, air and nitrox fills, and cylinder maintenance and cleaning. We also have one of the largest equipment rental fleets in the state. Regardless of what you need, we can provide it here at Dive Sports.
Our Retail Showroom. When you walk into our store, you immediately have a pleasant surprise. Our 1700 square foot showroom is stocked full of the latest dive equipment from the best scuba manufacturers in the country and abroad. We feature products from Oceanic USA, TUSA, Dive Rite, Genesis, Underwater Kinetics, ScubaMax, Henderson Aquatics, XS Scuba, Princeton Tec, Highland Millworks, and many more. Best of all, it is all on display for your to touch, feel, and try. We don't believe in hiding the "good stuff" in some locked display case or a back-room storage area. Everything we sell is right out there for you to see. Our selection of regulators, dive computers, buoyancy vests, gauges, dive watches, spearguns, lift bags, safety sausages, and accessories cannot be matched by any store in the southeast.
To make shopping easier for new students, we have a special new diver boutique that offers all of the personal gear necessary for the beginning diver, including masks, snorkels, neoprene boots, scuba fins, and all of the other stuff that an excited new diver would need.

Our PADI Dive Training Program. We provide complete scuba diving training services in our Decatur store. Our affiliation with the Professional Association of Dive Instructors (PADI) guarantees you a high-quality training class that is fun, safe, and complete. Our PADI Open Water Scuba Diver class is the most popular beginner diver class in the world. With beginner classes every month of the year, we are helping bring hundreds of people into the exciting sport of scuba diving. We also offer the full range of continuing education dive training, including the PADI Enriched Air Nitrox class, the PADI Advanced Open Water class, PADI Rescue Diver, and the entry level professional class, PADI Divemaster. We also have a full stock of all PADI student kits, textbooks, logbooks, DVDs, and other training materials. If scuba training is in your future, Dive Sports can fill your needs.
Air and Nitrox Fills. We are proud to have one of the most modern air and nitrox systems in the state. Our North American Hypres air compressor is the cornerstone in our clean air, high pressure system. Our custom-designed gas delivery panels allows us to provide you with any breathing gas you might need. With over 8,000 cubic feet of air, banked at high pressure up to 5,000 PSI, there is no need to worry about short fills. Our enriched air nitrox mixing panel allows up to give you any nitrox mixture you might need. We also offer a complete cylinder cleaning, inspection, and maintenance capability, assuring you that the clean air we put in your cylinders remains clean. Regardless of your diving gas needs, we can accommodate you at Dive Sports.
Equipment Maintenance and Service. We are authorized sales and service dealers for every brand of equipment we sell. Our regulator repair capability is extensive and we stock annual service kits and replacement parts for all of our brands. Unlike many local scuba stores who have very little testing and diagnostic equipment, we provide full testing of all regulators. Our Atmospheric Inhalation Test equipment assures you that your regulator is ready to dive, first time and every time. We realize that equipment maintenance is a risky business in many stores, but you can be assured that all of your service is done correctly at Dive Sports. We also offer complete cylinder and valve services, including cylinder tumbling, oxygen cleaning of cylinders and valves, and complete valve service and testing capability. No matter what your service needs, we can do it at Dive Sports.
Dive Gear Rental. We have a completely stocked rental fleet, including buoyancy vests for men and women, dive regulators, wet suits sized for men and women, and cylinders of all sizes and construction. Our rental fleets is valued at over $13,000 and we have sufficient numbers of every size vest and wet suit to fill your needs. All buoyancy vests are top-of-the-line weight-integrated models and all of our rental regulators are top-quality, diver adjustable models. We offer rental plans for just a day or for a week long vacation. At Dive Sports, we only rent the stuff you would purchase on your own. No bottom of the line, rental-only stuff for us.
