Scuba Training
The Earth's Surface is 75% Water.....Shouldn't You Be Exploring It?

See the World From a Different View!  Nothing could be more exciting than learning to scuba dive.  The underwater world is a vast aquarium full of sights, colors, plants, and animals that will simply take your breath.  When a new scuba diver makes their first open water dive, we typically hear the same thing from all of them.........."I wish I had started this years ago!"  The experience of feeling weightless, perfectly buoyed by the water itself, is difficult to describe.  For the first time in your life, you feel absolutely no stress on your body, no stress on your joints.  Only the feeling of being a participant in a world you could previously only imagine or see in pictures, movies, and television.  When you are scuba diving, you join the fish and animals that make the underwater world their home.  In the few minutes you have to commune with the amazing creatures that call the oceans and rivers their home, you begin to realize how the truly wild creatures live....how they eat, how they travel, where they spend their time.  As a scuba diver, you can experience what you have previously only been able to wonder.  You can answer the questions you have always had about what it is really like to view nature up close, in real time.  As a scuba diver, you will number among a minority of humans who have had the pleasure to call the underwater world your temporary home.

PADI Open Water Diver

It All Begins With Learning to Scuba Dive.  Learning to scuba dive is really a very simple process.  With a little bit of home study and  just two weekends of water skills training, you can become a certified scuba diver for life!  No additional training is required.  Learning to dive gives you license to participate in diving activities anywhere they are offered.........on the Florida gulf coast, when traveling abroad, during that once-in-a-lifetime Caribbean cruise, or even in the local rivers, ponds, and quarries near your home.  Your PADI Open Water Scuba Diver certification card is the most coveted diver credential in the world.  It is your passport to everything the diving industry has to offer.  Best of all, your scuba diving certification is a lifetime privilege.  No annual recertification is required.  No exhaustive series of refresher courses.  Your scuba certification is your permit to dive for your entire life!

Professional Association of Diving InstructorsThe Scuba Certification Process.  Scuba certification in the United States earns you an Open Water Diver certification card.  In the US, scuba certification is accomplished by attending a class offered by a local instructor or scuba retail store.  Here at Dive Sports, our professional scuba diving instructors are trained, overseen, and sanctioned by the Professional Association of Diving Instructors, or PADI for short.  PADI is the largest scuba certification agency in the world, responsible for certification of over one-half of all scuba divers worldwide.  The scuba diving industry in the United States is probably one of the best examples of industry self-regulation you will ever see.  There is no local, state, or federal oversight for learning to dive.  There is no state license required to participate.  Our PADI trained instructors conduct your scuba diving class according to a well-structured, scientific teaching method developed by PADI.  Using a combination of at-home study with world-class written or "eLearning" academic materials, the continuous guidance of PADI trained dive instructors, and the most scientific approach to in-water skills development ever developed, you will become a safe and skilled open water scuba diver for life.  But the best part about the certifications process is the fun.  Many people say that the scuba class itself is the most fun recreational activity they have ever done.  We look forward to having you in one of our scuba classes.  Upon completion of your training, you will be a life long participant in America's Most Exciting Adventure Sport..........Scuba Diving!
