The laws in almost all states demand that a submerged diver by within a given distance of a visible dive flag. This is especially important when shore diving or diving in local lakes and rivers. We have a very economical solution. The Dive Flag Safety Float gives you a compact, buoyant float that projects your 12" by 15" red and white dive flag 24" to 27" above the water surface. The bottom of the float staff is lead weighted to keep it standing straight. There is a sliding d-ring on the lower staff to allow the attachment of a line from your reel or finger spool. Overall, this flag staff is 49" tall, but for storage and transport, the upper staff removes easily from the float. Don't dive again without the safety of the dive flag safety float.
